Studying GCSE Maths will develop a positive attitude to mathematics and an appreciation of the place of maths in both employment and everyday life.
You will learn to think mathematically, to understand mathematical ideas and how to use them.
This is a great subject to help develop your analytical and problem solving skills.

Please note: If you do not have a minimum Grade 4 (C) in English at GCSE level, then you may be able to study this course for free! If you have already obtained a Grade 4 (C) or higher, fees may apply depending on your circumstances.
What you'll learn
This is a GCSE Mathematics, delivered in one academic year. The course assesses students’ abilities to understand mathematical ideas and utilise mathematical techniques.
There are three core units:
number and algebra
geometry and algebra
statistics and number
Entry requirements
If you have not already achieved a grade 3 in Maths, you will be required to sit an assessment to check your suitability for the course. This assessment will be completed on campus at your Meet the Teacher event. You will be sent details of how to book onto your event as part of the application process. It is essential that you attend an event to complete your assessment and gain entry to the course.
