I chose Activate Learning because of their specialised travel courses and the campus was close to where I lived.
The facilities are great. They have an air cabin crew training room where we get to practice doing things such as the safety demos. Having these specialist facilities is different to school and it helps prepare you for work and gain more confidence.
After college, I’m considering going to university but I have another year of my course first, so I haven’t made up my mind yet. When I first started the course, I was interested in becoming an air cabin crew member but I’m intrigued by cruise ship jobs and I’m looking forward to learning more about cruises in the coming year.
The college really supports you work towards your career goals.
We’ve had different travel companies come in and talk about what they do. It’s helpful because it shows you the different options in the travel industry and where courses like this can lead to.
The colleges attributes for success are useful as well as they give you a target to work towards. I’ve found they’ve benefited my life outside of college too for example I’m much more confident now.
If, like me, you’re interested in travel, culture and working in an industry centred around that, then I would recommend this course.
