This course provides learners with an understanding of the basic principles of the travel and tourism industry and allows them to explore the various avenues of work within this industry.

There are 4 optional units:
- Careers in Travel and Tourism
- Working as a Team in Travel and Tourism
- Travel and Tourism facilities in the UK
- UK Visitor Attractions
How you'll learn and be assessed
All units will be assessed internally using a variety of different methods including assignments; observations; worksheets and observations.
In addition to the Level 1 Certificate in Travel and Tourism, you will retake English and maths GCSEs.
Progression
On successful completion of this course, you could progress to the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism.
Entry requirements
You should have GCSE English and maths at grade 2 or above.
