You will benefit from subject-specialist teaching and excellent resources. The course is multi-disciplinary, with an emphasis on practical experimentation. Students are introduced to a range of technical processes that include:
- Photography
- Moving Image
- Animation
- Drawing
- Editing
- Research Skills
- Idea generation and creativity
All 16–19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade 4 in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies.

How you'll learn and be assessed
You are encouraged to complete set tasks and develop your own personal style as your confidence in your selected discipline develops.
There are no external assessments for this qualification. You receive individual feedback and discussion about your work during each session. Assessment is ongoing and continuous as you proceed through the course and complete each of the three units required.

Entry requirements
You need to have 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 or above including English and maths, with a keen interest & evidence in the subject (example of work or portfolio).
