Student case study
Dan decided to take a new direction by studying a Digital Technologies Level 5 HND at the South Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) Reading hub, based in Reading College and University Centre.
“I’m so glad that I took the leap and changed career by studying at the SCIoT,” Dan beams. “I’ve become more confident with doing presentations, which previously I was nervous about. Now that I’ve done it once, I’m happy to do it again.
“I’m really grateful for all the support and industry visits that we’ve received and I’m looking forward to pursuing a career in data analytics.”
Sajeeth has joined the South Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) hub as a Digital Industry Trainer, based at Reading College. His main responsibility is to facilitate training for digital apprenticeships in various areas such as software development, data analytics, ICT and HNC courses.
Sajeeth shared: “What I love about working with SCIoT, is that it is a vibrant institute, with a passion to help students achieve their career aspirations.
“I’m glad and happy to be part of the initiative and efforts to drive the ambitions and achievements of our new cohort of learners.”

What is a T Level Foundation Year?
If you think you might like to do a T Level, but need more time to get ready, a T Level Foundation Year will help you develop your skills and prepare you for the next level.
It’s a one-year post-GCSE course designed to give you the relevant knowledge, plus both practical and study skills, as well as work experience.
We offer T Level Foundation courses at:

Apprenticeships
At the South Central Institute of Technology Hub in Reading College and University Centre, we offer three apprenticeships and four Higher National Certificate (HNC) qualifications:

Our higher apprenticeships take two years to complete. There’s no upper age limit to study an apprenticeship, so they’re perfect if you are looking to change career or to develop in your current role.
