This is a skills-based qualification designed to help you develop the personal and social skills needed to help you progress to independent living, future employment or further vocational study.
You will develop key attributes for the public services or sport industry and on successful completion of this course, you will be awarded BTEC Level 1 Introductory Award in Vocational Studies.
You will cover the following:
- Keeping Active and Healthy
- Responding to an Incident
- Assisting in a Sports Activity
- Contributing to your Community
There is also a requirement
How you'll learn and be assessed
You will learn through a variety of classroom-based and fitness activities.
You will be assessed via different methods including assignments, observations and physical activities.
Progression
On successful completion of this course, you could progress to Level 2 Certificate in Public Services or Sport.
Entry requirements
You need to have 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 or above including English Language and maths, with a keen interest & evidence in the subject.
