Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship gives individuals the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their knowledge and competence in range of health and social care worker skills.

Leading frontline care for vulnerable adults within their own homes, day care centres, residential and nursing homes and other healthcare settings.

This level 3 apprenticeship training programme develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to lead on the provision of care for adults, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives.

You will meet the assessor in the workplace to support with the delivery of standards, to review and record the progress, and coach throughout your apprenticeship. Additional sessions may be required to support with Functional Skills, maths and English, and this can be delivered during one to one sessions as well as college classes depending on your needs.

To achieve this apprenticeship standard, the employer, training provider and apprentice will agree when the apprentice has developed all the knowledge, skills and behaviours defined in the apprenticeship standard and clearly evidenced by the on-programme progression review meetings and records.

The independent end assessment ensures that all apprentices consistently achieve the industry set professional standard and can commence at any point once the apprentice is competent after the twelve-month minimum period of learning and development. Prior to independent end assessment, the functional skills English and maths components of the apprenticeship must be successfully completed.

A health and social care apprenticeship can lead to a rewarding career in a variety of roles in the health and social care industry. You may choose to progress with your employer, change jobs or study a higher-level apprenticeship.

Progression from this apprenticeship is expected to be into a Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Worker role.

You are required to hold a GCSEs in maths and English at Grade C/4 or above OR be prepared to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths whilst undertaking your apprenticeship.

The minimum duration for this apprenticeship is 12 months with an End Point Assessment.
