Our new Laboratory Sciences T Level, delivered in our state-of-the-art facilities, offers a different approach and is also equivalent to 3 A Levels. Designed in collaboration with employers and businesses, students will spend 80% of the course in the classroom and 20% on a meaningful work placement.
Throughout the programme, students will acquire core laboratory skills, establish a solid foundation in the three sciences, and engage in an occupational specialism to enhance their practical abilities. Additionally, students will learn various analytical techniques, gain proficiency in conducting research, develop data analysis skills, and refine their communication abilities.
Our A Level subjects will enable you to progress with your future career. When you complete your programmes, you can go on to further study at university or college, progress directly onto employment, or undertake an apprenticeship.

You can select three A Levels from our wide selection of subjects that include: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. We also offer Human Biology AAQ Advanced National Extended Certificate, which can be studied alongside two A Levels of your choice.

Through the application of scientific methods and principles to aid legal decision-making in criminal and civil cases, students develop critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities—skills that are valuable in any career. Pursuing this pathway can also open doors to higher education in a variety of areas, from forensic or crime-scene science to biology, chemistry, and forensic psychology.
In this programme, you can select three subjects, including one science, from the following options: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Criminology, Photography, Sociology, Law, and Human Biology AAQ.
Forensic science is more than just academic study; it has a meaningful societal impact, helping bring justice to victims and supporting the legal system. With the increasing importance of forensic evidence in courtrooms, expertise in forensic science is more valuable than ever, providing pathways to rewarding careers in crime labs, law enforcement, and beyond.
By choosing to study A Levels, you’ll be keeping your options open; A Levels are versatile, internationally-recognised qualifications that are highly valued by employers and can help you gain entry to any university in the country. All A Levels, no matter the subject, will help you improve your communication skills and prove that you are capable of high-level academic work. So, if you haven’t decided yet on a career or further study, A Levels could be the best option for you. During your time with us, we’ll also help you pursue additional activities, both to broaden your skills and prepare yourself for life after college. Some students take up internships during the summer.
Full-time GCSEs
If you don’t have the GCSEs you were hoping for, or want to improve your grades, we also offer one-year, full-time programmes for 16–19-year olds. Our Science Pathway is the perfect preparation before progressing to a Level 3 science-based course.
From September 2024, we will be introducing a 3-stage A Level pathway, to provide learners with the opportunity to progress from their GCSEs and achieve their goals. Our new STEP, STRIVE, STRETCH programme provides an opportunity to improve your grades before you embark on an A Level programme, ensuring the best possible chance of success.
