This is why we’ve planned a Connect to College week for the week leading up to the start of your timetabled teaching, where you will get all the tools and resources you need to feel prepared for what college has in store.
Connect to College week will start on 2 September and will consist of a schedule of activity designed to give you the best possible start to this new chapter.
- Connect to College week is vital preparation for the beginning of the term
- It is essential that you attend on the days specified by your faculty
- This week is designed to ensure that you feel safe, confident and supported in college
What to expect
The programme has been designed to provide you with opportunities to build relationships with others on your course and your teachers, to explore the tools required to be ready to learn, and to help you establish positive routines and set out our expectations.
It will be delivered over three days and will include engaging activities and induction sessions to help you to find your footing with everything that will come your way at college.
We’ll provide you with valuable information on important topics such as career planning, extracurricular opportunities, student support, timetabling and assessments.
A new start
The main aim of this week is to make your start to college on 9 September as smooth as possible, and to help you feel settled in your new college environment. We want you to feel safe, confident and supported going into college, and we hope that Connect to College week will do just that.
We will be in contact with more information and a booking link via email. Until then, do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email if you have any further questions!
