Students and young people have had political upheaval, social change, and a global pandemic to deal with over the past 18 months or so. Education and training group Activate Learning recognises that many current and former students might be feeling that their next steps are not as clear as they were when they started their courses.
It’s true that, due to many factors outside of their control, some young people are currently at risk of feeling disengaged, disenfranchised and that their future might not be the straight path to career success that they had envisaged when they left school.
Activate Learning is taking a proactive approach to avoid these current and former learners from turning into NEETS – an acronym for ‘not in employment, education or training’ – and to help them to better their chances of entering the workplace and creating brighter futures.
The educational group have devised a flexible programme of FREE courses, open only to current and former students aged between 18-24 years old. This will help to keep young adults learning and engaged while they decide on their next steps – whether that’s in further or higher education or even starting a career.
With flexible start dates beginning from Monday 6 September 2021, students can choose to complete a minimum of a 4-week programme or stay for a full 12-week programme. The courses will be a blend of online learning and face to face delivery.
Courses include:
- Interview Practice
- Employability Skills
